Head to head: Wallabies battle past Wales

This will be the 27th meeting between these two sides with Australia having been victorious on 16 occasions, Wales having won nine times with the other clash ending in a draw.

Australia's most recent victories came earlier this year when they beat the tourists in successive weeks in Sydney (29-23) and Brisbane (31-0).

The drawn result came at the Millennium Stadium in 2005 while Wales' last victory in the clash came at the Millennium Stadium in 2005.

They have met three times previously in the World Cup with Wales edging Australia 22-21 in the 3rd/4th Play Off at RWC'87, the Wallabies accounting for Wales in the pool stages on their way to World Cup glory in 1991 and again at the quarter-final stage in 1999.
