Reaction: England weather Samoa storm

Sackey not getting carried away

Two-try hero Paul Sackey admitted England still had work to do despite a 44-22 victory over Samoa.

The scoreline flattered England who only held a 26-22 lead with half-an-hour to play but victory means they survive to go into a winner-takes-all meeting with Tonga next week.

And Sackey, who crossed twice, told ITV1: "We've still got a lot to work on.

"The first 20 minutes, we were a bit all over the place but we started playing our patterns.

"We got the balance right between the forwards and the backs. I think we were always confident before today but we didn't get the balance right - today we did."
