Henry demands improvement from All Blacks

New Zealand coach Graham Henry claimed his side will need to improve before the World Cup quarter-finals despite their impressive form in the pool stages.

The All Blacks took their points tally for the four group matches past 300 as they crushed Romania 85-8 in Toulouse this afternoon.

Henry's team, who also overpowered Italy, Portugal and Scotland in their Pool C programme, now head to Cardiff for their last-eight match.

Henry said: "Overall we're pretty pleased, and we had no injuries, which is a pretty big plus.

"There is obviously still room for improvement.''

Joe Rokocoko led the way in the 13-try romp with a hat-trick while Sitiveni Sivivatu and Isaia Toeava claimed two tries each.

Chris Masoe, Nick Evans, Aaron Mauger, Andrew Hore, Conrad Smith and Doug Howlett also touched down.

Star fly-half Dan Carter missed the match due to a calf injury but Henry is confident he will soon be fit to return.

"We don't think it is particularly serious and hopefully he will be right for next week,'' Henry said.

Romania were outclassed but did show some spirit and managed a try through Marius Tincu.

Henry added: "Romania played with a lot of passion and were very physical. They lived on the offside line - but we scored some great tries.''

Romania captain Sorin Socol was proud of his side's effort.

"We're happy, especially with the fact we scored a try,'' he said. "Everyone knows New Zealand are the best team in the world.

"I think for a while we kept our heads together, but then we had five or six minutes out of the game and boom, we conceded five or six tries.''
