French club Brive proved to strong for their Spanish opposition and ran out 40-8 winners.

The French side were in control from the start and despite some spirited defence, El Salvador never looked like causing an upset in a one sided affair.

The result sees Brive remain in top spot ahead of their nearest rivals, the Newcastle Falcons who play later this afternoon, in what will be a must win clash for the English club.
