Overmach Parma got their European Challenge Cup campaign underway with a home win over French side Brive.

Tries from Alessandro Chillon, Roberto Mariani and prop German Fontana were enough to see the Italian side to a 34-29 victroy, after Brive staged a second-half comeback. Inspired by former Leicester fly-half Andy Goode, Brive recovered from 25-9 down to snatch a losing bonus point.

Brive host Newcastle Falcons in the next round, while Parma make the trip to Spanish champions Cetransa El Salvador in search of a bonus point victory.
