Ireland coach Joe Schmidt has named seven uncapped players in his squad to face the Barbarians at Thomond Park on Thursday evening.

Leinster trio Jack Conan, Ben Marshall and Tadgh Furlong have all been named in a list of 15 forwards, while club-mates Luke McGrath, Colm O'Shea and Cian Kelleher are called into the options in the backs.

Ulster's Stuart McCloskey, pictured above, is the seventh uncapped player called by Ireland, who have not drafted in any players from Connacht due to their involvement in the Champions Cup play-off on Sunday, where they lost to Gloucester.

Munster also have no players involved, as they face Glasgow in the PRO12 final on Saturday.

Jamie Heaslip will captain the Ireland XV.

"We knew it was an opportunity to explore some options and give guys like Chris Henry the chance to get back into the environment," said defence coach Les Kiss. "It also lives up to the spirit of what the Barbarians is all about in bringing some younger players into the environment."
