Fiji have secured their second World Rugby Sevens Series title thanks to a quarter-final win over South Africa in the London leg of the tournament.

Heading into the final day of the Sevens the quarter-final between Fiji and the Blitzbokke became a straight shootout for the Series title but the 19-7 triumph saw Fiji claim their first championship since 2006. Two tries from Savenaca Rawaca and one from captain Kolinisau saw them home and they will now play Australia in the semi-finals.

"Thank you very much for supporting the team," said captain Osea Kolinisau. "To be only the second Fijian team to win the title is a great feeling.

"We are really thankful that we have finished the series, it has been a tough journey all along."
