Fans of the HSBC Sevens World Series have been encouraged to 'Go Global' at the inaugural Sydney 7s competition. The best Sevens players from around the world will touch down in Sydney in February and the Australian Rugby Union has encouraged all fans to wear their best international costume for the two day tournament.

This will also be the first chance for fans to see All Black Sonny Bill Williams and Wallaby Henry Speight strut their stuff in Australia as they fight for selection for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

ARU CEO Bill Pulver called the Sydney 7s "an event not to be missed" and has encouraged all fans to buy tickets for the two day extravaganza.

"The HSBC Sydney 7s will be a sporting and social event not to be missed. Early indications suggest there is a huge excitement among the Rugby community in Sydney, across Australia and overseas for what will be a memorable weekend.

"The event will give Australians the opportunity to watch the finest global athletes on the planet play on our turf, while overseas visitors will be able to not only sample the action on the pitch but experience the sheer beauty of Sydney."

Sydney 7s will also feature the ultimate party zone for fans, with additional music and activities to give fans the full carnival and 'Go Global' experience.
