Jutge, a former scrum-half with Colomiers, took the whistle for his first Test match in 2000 as Italy took on Romania and his Six Nations debut followed in 2002. Later that year he was entrusted with the Heineken Cup final between Leicester and Munster in Cardiff, controversially missing Tigers flanker Neil Back knocking the ball from the grasp of Peter Stringer at a late scrum. He was selected for the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and the 2007 edition in France, but was forced to retire in 2009 due to a knee injury. After retiring, he served as referee manager for the Fédération Française de Rugby (FFR) and later the International Rugby Board (IRB).
