Wales have suffered a huge blow ahead of Saturday's Six Nations title-decider against England following the news that Ryan Jones has suffered a broken bone in his shoulder.

Jones faces between six and eight weeks out of action and will now focus his attention on recovering from the injury in time to put himself in the British & Irish Lions mix. But the news will come as a setback for Wales as they prepare for Saturday's game against England.

Jones was forced off in the second-half of Wales' 28-18 win over Scotland on Saturday with Justin Tipuric replacing him. The veteran back-rower had skippered Wales to victories against France, Italy and Scotland and with him sidelined, Wales are likely to either award the captaincy to either their 2011 World Cup leader Sam Warburton or Ospreys second-rower Alun-Wyn Jones.

And assistant coach Robin McBryde would not be drawn on who would be wearing the captain's armband on Saturday. "That will be up for discussion," McBryde said. "There are quite a few sore bodies at this stage after Saturday, and we are not under any pressure to make any decisions at the moment.

"We will take our time and make sure the decisions are right in order to get things spot-on for Saturday. We are in a good place. Those decisions will come on Thursday."

With Jones out, Wales now look set to name Warburton at blindside and Tipuric at openside for Saturday's match. Assistant coach Shaun Edwards was impressed with the combination when the pair linked up on Saturday following Jones' departure from the field.
