Paul Vaughan is the chief executive of England Rugby 2015 - the company that will orchestrate the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Vaughan served as the RFU business operations director since 2000. He begins his role as chief executive of England Rugby 2015 on February 4. During his period in the position the revenues generated by the union grew from £43 to £119 and he played a major role in signing commercial partnerships that allowed the redevelopment of Twickenham's South Stand.

He also had board responsibility for ticketing strategy that saw Twickenham sell out on a regular basis, while before he started at the RFU he held executive roles at Whitbread plc and Octagon.

In his new role his responsibility will be to maximize ticket income to ensure the RFU make profits of up to £15 million for hosting the tournament.
