The murder case against Bulls prop Bees Roux has been postponed until December after requests were lodged for extra time to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The 28-year-old front-rower stands accused of murdering Tshwane metro police officer Ntshimane Mogale on August 27 after he was pulled over on suspicion of drink driving.

The details of the case remain unclear, with Roux maintaining that he was acting in self defence.

At his first court appearance, on August 30, Roux's lawyer stated that he would plead not guilty. The prop's R100,000 bail has been extended while he is yet to enter a plea.
