Melbourne Rebels have recalled Gareth Delve to the bench as one of three personnel changes to the Super Rugby team to face the Crusaders at AMI Stadium in Christchurch on Sunday, the former team captain having put behind him a series of minor injuries.

Jarrod Saffy and rookie Tom English, meanwhile, have both been promoted to the run-on side, the former in the squad for the first time since round six.

Jason Woodward moves to fullback to replace Richard Kingi, who will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, leaving room for English to debut in the vacated wing position. The former Waverly College student failed to play for the majority of 2012, due to of an injury sustained playing for Australia's Sevens side.

The Rebels defeated the Crusaders the last time the teams played each other, winning 28-19 at AAMI Park, and Saffy said the Crusaders would remember what result but "this is a new team, with a new challenge and one I know we will be up for".
