Munster's Donnacha Ryan has been ruled out of the autumn internationals after sustaining knee ligament damange in last weekend's 26-10 Heineken Cup win over Gloucester.

Ryan was forced from the field with ten minutes to go at Thomond Park and the club estimate he will be out for 'approximately 10 weeks', which could see him side-lined until after the New Year.

It adds to a growing list of injury concerns Ireland have ahead of the autumn internationals, with question marks still hanging over the involvement of Brian O'Driscoll (calf) and Mike Ross (hamstring).
