Barritt set to miss a month

England and Saracens centre Brad Barritt will miss four weeks of action due to the injury he picked up in England's final autumn international against Australia on November 29.

Barritt suffered a calf injury in England's victory over the Wallabies but also ended the game with blood streaming from his face after a clash of heads with Australian winger Rob Horne.

"Brad pulled his calf in the last game for England," said Saracens coach Mark McCall in the aftermath of the club's tight win over Sale in the European Champions Cup. "It's obviously hugely disappointing for us to lose him for four weeks when he comes back with a pretty significant injury like that. But that's life. We just roll on."

Barritt is expected to be back in action for the Six Nations, which start on the first weekend of February, where he will complete for a place in England's centres with Kyle Eastmond, Luther Burrell, Manu Tuilagi, Billy Twevetrees, Owen Farrell and perhaps even Bath's Sam Burgess.
