Double bundles of joy for Wallaby hardmen
August 18, 2000

The Wallaby supporter base received a timely boost on the eve of their departure to South Africa with flankers David Wilson and Matt Cockbain celebrating the birth of their first sons just four minutes apart.

Wilson's wife Nicole gave birth to their second child, as yet unnamed, at 8.43am on Thursday at Brisbane's Wesley Hospital, and just four minutes later down the road at North Western Private Hospital, Cockbain's wife Sally gave birth to Casey James.

The Queensland Reds team-mates will today join the remainder of the Wallaby squad in Perth where they will spend the next couple of days before flying to Durban for the final Tri-Nations Test against South Africa on August 26.

It promises to be a momentous two weeks for the duo with this final game deciding who wins the Tri-Nations title. South Africa meets the All Blacks in Johannesburg on Saturday before all the focus switches to Durban.

The game will be the final Test for the veteran Wilson before he takes up a contract with London club Harlequins.
