October 12, 2000

Swansea have been successful, in having two yellow cards awarded against their players in the Celtic League overturned.

In a disciplinary hearing held on Wednesday by the Welsh Rugby Union, Swansea's appeal against yellow cards received by second row Tyrone Maullin versus Newport and full back Kevin Morgan versus Ebbw Vale, was upheld.

The hearing of a third yellow card appeal by the club - issued to flanker
Dean Thomas against Ebbw Vale - has been postponed to the next WRU disciplinary hearing.

As a result the number of yellow cards currently issued against the club has been reduced by two.
