Quins' stars set for return

England stars Will Grenwood and Jason Leonard are both expected to be back in action for NEC Harlequins this weekend as they travel to Ebbw Vale in the European Shield.

The pair missed last weekend's home tie against Perigueux at the Stoop, which Quins won 23-16, but will be back for the game against coach Richard Hill's former employers.

Quins will go into the game in confident mood having put 50 points passed Ebbw Vale in a pre-season friendly and with the shield offering respite from what has been an inauspicious start to the domestic season.

Keith Woods could also be back but will not be reclaiming the captaincy which has now been permanently handed to Wallaby flanker David Wilson following his debut in the role last week.

Full-back Jamie Williams injury nightmare, however continues after he picked up a knock playing in a second team game in the week after more than a year out with an ankle injury.

Niall Woods, an off season signing from London Irish, is also nearing full fitness and may play this week. Meanwhile Scottish international Eric Peters return from a serious knee injury look unlikely to happen before the New Year.

Winger Brendon Daniel, who fractured bone in his hand two weeks ago, will be out for up to eight weeks.
