Pape ruled out for two months
March 6, 2008
France lock Pascal Pape has been ruled out of the remainder of this year's Six Nations Championship with a knee injury.
The Stade Francais second row has been ruled out for eight weeks after picking up the injury in his side's Top 14 defeat at the hands of Biarritz last weekend.
The 27-year-old was recalled into the international set-up by France coach Marc Lievremont having been overlooked by former coach Bernard Laporte at last year's Rugby World Cup.
However, following France's defeat to England in Paris, he was replaced by 28-year-old Albi lock Arnaud Mela for Sunday's game against Italy at the Stade de France.
His club have stated that they expect him to return to action in May.
