Ruan Smith and Lausii Taliauli have re-signed with the Brumbies for the 2016 season. Former Australian Sevens representative Taliauli has signed a one-year contract extension, while tighthead prop Smith has a signed a new two-year contract.

Making his debut for the Brumbies in the side's opening round in 2015, Taliauli made seven appearances for the Canberra side, including starting on the wing for the Brumbies semi-final against the Hurricanes in Wellington, and was earmarked as one of Australia's best wing prospect.

"Lausii had a couple of chances with us this year and was ruled out through injury, but I thought we saw a lot of promise in him when he played the round games," Brumbies head coach Stephen Larkham said.

Smith is also an up-and-coming star for the Brumbies after moving to Canberra in 2013 and has since played in over 40 matches, and was only one of a handful of players to feature in every single Brumbies match in 2015.
