France coach Guy Noves has included four uncapped players in his first Les Bleus starting XV.

Second-row Paul Jedrasiak, scrum-half Sebastien Bezy, centre Jonathan Danty and wing Virimi Vakatawa will start the Six Nations opener against Italy in Paris on Saturday.

Hooker Guilhem Guirado captains the side, with Yoann Maestri as his deputy, while Jules Plisson has been given the nod to start outside Bezy at fly-half.

Debutant Danty comes into the midfield to partner Gael Fickou in the absence of the injured Wesley Fofana, while Hugo Bonneval starts his first Test since June 2014 on the right wing.

Meanwhile, Camille Chat, Jefferson Poirot and Yacouba Camara are set to make their debuts off the bench.

France (to face Italy): Medard, Bonneval, Fickou, Danty, Vakatawa, Plisson, Bezy; Ben Arous, Guirado (c), Slimani, Jedrasiak, Maestri, Chouly, Lauret, Picamoles

Replacements: Chat, Atonio, Poirot, Flanquart, Camara, Machenaud, Doussain, Mermoz
