Clermont flanker Julien Bonnaire has been cited for allegedly stamping on an opponent during the Heineken Cup win over the Scarlets at the weekend.

Bonnaire was not penalised at the time by the referee and will appear before the ERC Disciplinary Commission by video link on Thursday.

"Bonnaire is suspected of having trod on or stamped on Scarlets player Rob McCusker during the first-half of the Pool 4 match with Scarlets," the ERC said in a statement.

Bonnaire, who retired from international rugby after the 2012 Six Nations, faces a ban of between two and 52 weeks if found guilty.
