Jonny boots England to historic win

2003
England, temporarily reduced to 13-men due to two yellow cards, staged a brave goal-line stand to keep the All Blacks out in Wellington. Australian referee Stuart Dickinson sin-binned both Neil Back and Lawrence Dallaglio but the visitors went on to win 15-13 and registered their twelfth successive Test victory, a new national record. Jonny Wilkinson kicked all 15 points as Clive Woodward's side recorded their first victory over the All Blacks on New Zealand soil for 30 years.
2008
The All Blacks extended their historical rugby stranglehold over England in strong fashion with a comprehensive 37-20 victory at Eden Park. New Zealand were rampant when required and comfortably improved their unbeaten home record to 27 Tests by crushing the World Cup runners-up in the first of two internationals. The match was the first following former captain Martin Johnson's appointment as manager although he did not travel with the side. RFU director of elite rugby Rob Andew took charge for the tour that was over-shadowed by a sex scandal involving Danny Care, Topsy Ojo, Mike Brown and David Strettle. Ojo and Brown were eventually fined for misconduct and Care and Strettle were found not guilty following an RFU probe. No official complaint was made against the players, who denied any wrongdoing.
2008
Scotland scored their first away triumph over Argentina with a 26-14 in the second Test in Buenos Aires. Record-breaking fullback Chris Paterson, who became his country's most capped player by making his 88th appearance in the match, contributed 13 points to make it a particularly sweet occasion for him as he overtook Scott Murray's cap tally. Hooker Ross Ford and centre Graeme Morrison also notched tries for the tourists.
1975
New Zealand beat Scotland 24-0 on a flooded pitch at Eden Park in Auckland. The All Blacks had the benefit of the wind in both halves, the gale conveniently changing direction at half time. Kick and chase tactics benefited New Zealand who scored four converted tries.
1969
Fergie McCormick set a new All Blacks Test record scoring 24 points in the 33-12 demolition of Wales in Auckland in the final match of the two-Test series. Wales' two tries came from Maurice Richards and Keith Jarrett.
1930
England lock Brian Black converted six tries as Doug Prentice's Lions secured a convincing 33-9 victory over top province Otago in New Zealand.
1950
Lions wing Malcolm Thomas crossed for three tries in the Lions' 27-13 win against Wairarapa/Bush in Masterton.
1977
Ian McGeechan is the Lions' captain for the day in their match against the New Zealand Universities. The students lifted their game and their 21-9 win was the first blot on the tourists' record.
2008
Former England captains Lawrence Dallaglio and Bill Beaumont received awards in the Queen's Birthday honours list. Dallaglio, who retired from rugby after leading Wasps to the Guinness Premiership title earlier in the year, was awarded an OBE for services to rugby union and charity. Beaumont, a leading administrator in world rugby, became a CBE, having been awarded an OBE on his retirement as a player in 1982.

Scotland's Roy Laidlaw is the Lions' captain for the day in their 57-10 win against Wairarapa-Bush.
2004
New Zealand knocked England off their perch at the top of the IRB rankings, a position they had held for 30 weeks since winning the World Cup.
