Scotland boss Andy Robinson has attached no personal significance to this weekend's Calcutta Cup clash with England, insisting that his side will be going all out for a much-needed win.

The former England coach is set to return to Twickenham for the first time as Scotland chief, having been axed by the RFU in 2006, but he has not altered his method as he looks to derail the home side's Grand Slam bid.

"It's about the next game," he said. "All I'll be saying to the players is it's a fantastic stadium to go and play, the pitch is in cracking order and where better place to go out and show what you're about than to do that at Twickenham."

Scotland are facing the weight of history this weekend and have not won at Twickenham since 1983, with the game also falling on the 100th anniversary of the first England-Scotland clash at the west London ground. In 44 attempts, Scotland have just four wins.

Robinson has made four changes to the starting XV that began a 21-18 loss to Ireland on February 27, with Rory Lawson, Nathan Hines, Joe Ansbro and Simon Danielli named in place of Mike Blair, Johnnie Beattie, Nick De Luca and Nikki Walker.

"Twickenham's a fantastic stadium and there will be really good support for Scotland going there," he said. "The players have got to be inspired by the stadium and also by the team that they're playing against.

"They're playing against a team which is a very good side at the moment, they're right at the top of their game, playing with really good width, scoring tries from anywhere on the pitch and also with a very dominant forward pack that's giving them control of the game.

"When you come into a game like this every area is going to be challenged and we have to have players that are right at the top of their game. We have the personnel who can deal with it, but we have to be right at the top of our game and everybody's got to work for each other. It's about us focusing on what we're about."

Robinson does not believe that the alterations will have a negative effect on his side and has called on his side to tighten up their defence after shipping three tries against Ireland.

"The changes we have made are small, but I believe right for us to go and take the game to England," he said. "It's always about getting a balance to your game. We're trying to move our game forward by playing with the ball in hand and having the confidence to go with the ball in hand and having the ability to defend against anything.

"What's let us down is our defence. We've conceded really cheap scores, whether it's after turnover ball or after we've conceded ball at the lineout and scrum. The scores we've given the opposition they haven't had to work that hard for."
