Prop Craig Mitchell will miss Wales' final Six Nations clash with France after suffering a suspected dislocated shoulder in their 19-13 win over Ireland.
Tight-head Mitchell was forced out of the Millennium Stadium clash after just 11 minutes to be replaced by John Yapp, with a fit-again Adam Jones set to return to the side for next Saturday's Stade de France encounter.
"It looks like he's dislocated a shoulder so I don't know how long it's going to be [until he plays again]," Wales coach Warren Gatland said. "It's unfortunate for him, particularly so early in the game. He's had a great campaign and given that depth we were looking for as cover for Adam Jones.
"He's work-rate has been outstanding and I don't think he's had the credit he deserves for how hard he's worked around the field."
Jones made his long-awaited comeback from an elbow injury in the Ospreys' Magners League victory over Glasgow last weekend but failed to earn a call up ahead of the Ireland game, with Gatland insisting the British & Irish Lions international was carrying too much weight.
"Hopefully Adam has been training and his weight is OK and we'll be able to keep him in the squad," he said. "He knows if he turns up on Tuesday and he's overweight then I'll turn around and send him home. So hopefully he might be in the sauna [on Sunday]."
