Neil Robertson recovered from a sluggish start to book his place in the final of the International Championship with a 9-5 victory over Shaun Murphy.

The Australian will face new world No. 1 Judd Trump in Sunday's final in Chengdu, with the winner set to pocket £125,000.

Robertson, the former world champion, rallied from 3-1 down to lead 5-3 at the end of the first session, thanks in part to a superb break of 142. Leading 7-5, Robertson profited from a mistake by Murphy to take the 13th frame before wrapping up the match.

"To be in my first final in China is a really proud moment for me," Robertson told World Snooker. "Judd has changed his game, he doesn't go for as many shots as he used to and his safety has improved.

"He is No. 1 in the world now so he's full of confidence. He's fantastic for the game and he has fun and enjoys his life, as he should do. Hopefully it will be a great match."
