O'Sullivan considered amputating own leg
Ronnie O'Sullivan has revealed he once considered sawing his own leg off in a bid to stabilise his stance at the snooker table.
Five-time world champion O'Sullivan admitted he pondered replacing his left leg with a wooden leg in hope of curing a twitch which was affecting his game - an idea he got when watching the thriller movie 'Black Swan'.
"I thought about having my leg sawn off once - I really did," O'Sullivan told the Daily Mail. "I was worried about my stance because I couldn't keep that leg still.
"So I said to my dad: 'How about if I get a wooden leg that won't move? I wouldn't miss.' I said 'I'll get a new hip. I've worn my hip out. If I got a new hip it might not bend as much.'
"He said: 'You're f***ing mad'. I said 'No I'm not. I need something that is stable. That is what is stopping me from being consistent."
