O'Sullivan suffers shock International Open loss
Ronnie O'Sullivan crashed out of the International Open after suffering a 6-4 defeat to Liang Wenbo in China.
World champion O'Sullivan stretched into a 4-1 lead during the second round tie, making breaks of 120 and 121 to move into a commanding position.
However, Liang hit back to win five consecutive frames and advance through to round three, enjoying a visit of 118 without reply. He now plays Mark Davis, who defeated Stuart Carrington 6-3 in their second round match.
Elsewhere, Mark Allen won through 6-4 against Dave Harold while Stuart Bingham enjoyed a 6-4 win over Martin Gould.
Barry Hawkins suffered a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Zhao Xintong, while former world champions John Higgins and Mark Williams also suffered shock defeats.
Neil Robertson gave an impressive account with a 6-1 victory over Thepchaiya Un-Nooh; the world No. 1 made three century breaks including a 143 in the opening frame.
