Trump dumped out of Champion of Champions event

Judd Trump was swept aside 6-2 by Stuart Bingham in Wednesday night's Group Three final of the inaugural Champion of Champions event.
Bingham sealed his place in the last four at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry after beating Ricky Walden 4-0 in his group match, while Trump had seen off Marco Fu 4-1.
With breaks of 63, 111 and 78, Bingham stormed into a 3-0 lead but Trump looked to have turned things around after taking the next two frames.
But a break of 65 helped Bingham move two frames clear and then he kept his nerve to secure a spot in the semi-finals, where he will face Group Two winner Mark Selby.
The Champion of Champions pits together the top 16 players in the world, who are split into four groups based on their world rankings. Each group features two semi-finals then a final, with each of the four winners of the finals going through to the semi-finals of the tournament proper.
