Judd Trump cruised into the semi-finals of the German Masters with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Michael Holt in Berlin.

Trump did not even concede a point in the final three frames, completing breaks of 69, 72 and 72 again to wrap up the comprehensive success and secure his first last-four spot of the season so far.

He remains on course for a final meeting with Ding Junhui, who was also comfortable in a 5-2 victory over Joe Perry. Ding opened with a break of 107, and further breaks of 81 and 93 put him firmly in command.

Ding remains on course for his fourth ranking event of the season and will now face Ryan Day in the semi-finals on Saturday. Day beat Xiao Guodong 5-2, while Rod Lawler defeated Mark Davis in a final frame decider to reach his first ranking semi-final since 1996, where he will face Trump.
