Selby celebrates world crown - by singing REM
Mark Selby celebrated his maiden World Championship title with a little bit of karaoke - although the 'Jester from Leicester' was not caught singing 'Snooker Loopy.'
Selby defeated Ronnie O'Sullivan 18-14 to claim a first world crown, having previously finished runner-up in 2007.
Not content with winning the most prestigious trophy in snooker and his subsequent return to world No.1 status, the 30-year-old stole the show at the winners' ball shortly after he wowed the crowd at the Crucible theatre.
Selby joined Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain, who watched the final alongside Stephen Fry, on stage and sang several songs as he continued to party into the night.
He was captured on film singing REM's 'Losing My Religion' - which can be viewed here - and also belted out Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars' and The Monkees' hit song 'I'm A Believer'.
