Ali Carter has revealed he will soon be returning to competitive action after finishing an intensive course of chemotherapy for lung cancer.

The two-time World Championship runner-up was diagnosed with lung cancer in May. Carter, who also suffers from Crohn's disease, also recovered from testicular cancer less than a year ago.

World Snooker announced that they would freeze the 35-year-old's world ranking of No.13 while he received treatment.
