Higgins feeling the nerves ahead of return

Three-time world champion John Higgins admitted he was nervous about his return to snooker after a six-month ban from the sport.

Higgins was suspended in May and banned retrospectively for six months in September for bringing the sport into disrepute after being cleared of match fixing.

"I am a little bit nervous and wonder how the other players will react to me," Higgins said. "It feels a bit like a trip to the dentist."

Higgins makes his return to the baize in Germany at the Euro Players Tour Championship, where he will face world No. 60 Joe Jogia in the first round.
