Higgins wins comeback tournament

John Higgins completed a victorious return to snooker by triumphing at the European Tour Championship event in Hamm, Germany.
Playing in his first tournament for six months after being banned for not reporting an illegal match-fixing approach, Higgins defeated Shaun Murphy 4-2 in the final.
The three-time world champion, who is on course to return to domestic action at the UK Championship on 4 December, will now move into third in the world rankings.
"It was a good final, I only really missed one ball, when I should have gone 3-1 up," Higgins said. "I just came here hoping to get a few matches under my belt, so I'm delighted to win it. I had to be realistic coming here as the other players had all been competing regularly for four or five months. I knew I was good enough to win it but I didn't expect that much."
