France are bidding to make it three in a row against South Africa in Cape Town on Saturday, having humbled the Springboks in Toulouse last November. The last time the teams met at Newlands France ran out 36-26 winners. Their previous two encounters in Cape Town ended in draws, 3-3 in 1958 and 6-6 in 1967. South Africa have had the best of the rivalry over time, winning 20 Tests to France's 11, with six drawn. They have also secured by far the largest victory in the history of the tournament, a 52-10 hammering of Les Bleus at the Parc des Princes in 1997. France v South Africa Match Stats
