France host Scotland in Paris on Saturday in what is sure to be an intriguing final World Cup warm-up clash for both sides. Philippe Saint-Andre's charges will not only be looking to build on their recent victory over England, but also put on a convincing show for their home supporters. Similarly, Vern Cotter's Scotland will want to continue a welcome return to form; their recent triumph over Italy in Turin ended a six-match losing streak, before they followed up with a far more convincing record rout of the Azzuri at Murrayfield last weekend. Neither side will want to concede an inch at the Stade de France.

Team news

Scotland have made five changes ahead of Saturday's match. With Vern Cotter having confirmed his 31-man squad on Tuesday, the Kiwi has opted to bring in Tommy Seymour and Sean Maitland into the back three with Matt Scott partnering Mark Bennett in the centres. Richie Gray and John Hardie start in the pack.

France are buoyed by the return of their captain, Thierry Dusautoir. He comes straight back into the fold at blindside after sitting out the two games against England with a knee injury. Elsewhere, Bernard le Roux drops to the bench while Yoann Maestri is replaced by Alexandre Flanquart. Morgan Parra, Alexandre Dumoulin, Nicolas Mas and Dimitri Szarzewski all have to settle for places on the bench.

Key head-to-head

John Hardie against French skipper Dusautoir. For Hardie, the challenge represents proving his worth against one of the best in the business and warranting his selection in Cotter's final World Cup squad - particularly with their Pool B opener against Japan in mind. Dusautoir, meanwhile, will be desperate for match fitness ahead of France's first game against Italy having missed the opportunity to test himself against England.

Key stats

*France have won the last nine encounters between the two sides - including the last five clashes in the French capital. Scotland have only beaten Les Bleus once in the last 10 years.

*Should France earn a 10th consecutive victory against Scotland, it will be their longest-ever winning streak over them.

*France's largest winning margin over Scotland is 42 points. The Scot's largest winning margin is 28 points, while in their total 88 games played there has only been three draws.

Odds

Given France's impressive record over Scotland, it comes as no surprise that they are heavy favourites to win this weekend. Unibet have the hosts priced at 2/11, while offering odds of 15/4 for a Scotland win.

Weather

Cloudy spells are expected throughout the day in Paris, with some sunshine. Kickoff is 9pm local time (8pm BST), which should see temperatures stay around the 18 degrees Celsius mark and little chance of rain.

Prediction

While Scotland are riding high after a record win against Italy, it is hard to see past France in this fixture. Their record over the Scots is far too good to ignore - Saint-Andre's side to win by 15 points or more.
