Grey accused of spying

Australia have been accused of infiltrating All Black training and using an international player to spy on them according to The Australian newspaper.

A source close to the New Zealand camp told The Australian that the All Blacks team management had queried the presence of NSW centre Nathan Grey at one of their training sessions armed with a mobile telephone and notepad.

Grey plays his rugby in Sydney with Manly where the All Blacks are staying and training and was a member of the Wallabies World Cup squad last year. But he has yet to win national selection this season.

The Kiwis responed to his presence by stating they would train behind closed doors for the remainder of the build up to Saturday's Test.

But Grey described as hilarious the suspicion that he was a James Bond in football boots.

"Yeah, I was there on Tuesday," he said. "I was driving past the ground on my way to my own training at the gym, and thought it must have been the Wallabies. So I pulled over, parked the car, saw it was New Zealand and thought I might as well sit and watch them anyway.

Australian coach Rod Macqueen also dismissed the spying charges.
"I would think we had about 25 Kiwis up here to watch us this week," he said. "These days, even though we talk about closed sessions, I don't think you can stop people being there."
