Referees named for World Cup warm-ups

The International Rugby Board have confirmed the referees for the IRB Pacific Nations Cup which will take place in Fiji and Japan in July.

South Africa's Marius Jonker, Ireland's Peter Fitzgibbon and New Zealand's Keith Brown will take charge of the six Test matches involving Fiji, Japan, Samoa and Tonga.

Welshman Nigel Owens will join the Referee Panel for the Churchill Cup in England as a replacement for Romain Poite who will be unavailable for the opening round on June 4 due to French Top 14 commitments.

There is also one revision to the Tri-Nations appointments with Australia's Stuart Dickinson replacing Fitzgibbon as an assistant referee for the match between New Zealand and South Africa in Wellington on July 23.
