Western Force have agreed to sign Sias Ebersohn from the Cheetahs for the 2013 Super Rugby season.

The fly-half has agreed a two-year deal with the Australian franchise and will join as their foreign developing player, with final approval from the Australian Rugby Union required.

RugbyWA chief executive officer Vern Reid said: "Following our meeting, Sias has agreed to accept our offer to be the foreign developing player for the Emirates Western Force in the 2013 season. The agreement is now before the Australian Rugby Union as they need to approve any foreign developing player contracts under the contracting guidelines.

"In our view, Sias has great potential to make a significant impact for the Emirates Western Force in the Super Rugby competition and at an international level and for the past couple of seasons has been touted as a future Springbok. We are delighted he has accepted the offer to play for the Emirates Western Force and look forward to welcoming him into the programme."

Pieter Louw has come out of retirement to link up with the Stormers, who are struggling with injuries in the back-row.

"Pieter has decided to make a comeback and is back in training with us. He is an experienced campaigner who has the ability to play in all the back three positions at 6, 7 and 8. It's now all about getting him fit as soon possible," said Stormers coach Allister Coetzee.
