England play their first Test in South Africa since 2007 when they take on the Springboks in Durban. On that occassion a 55-22 victory wrapped up a 2-0 series win for the hosts.

The last meeting between the countries came at Twickenham in 2010, where South Africa extended their run of victories over England to seven with a 21-11 win.

England go into the match after a confidence-boosting 57-26 victory over the Barbarians at Twickenham in which wing Chris Ashton scored a hattrick. It takes Stuart Lancaster's record as England coach to five wins and one defeat.

It is the Boks' frst match since their reign as World Cup holders was ended by an 11-9 defeat to Australia at the quarter-final stages of the World Cup last year. Since then Heyneke Meyer has replaced Peter De Villiers as Springbok coach.
