Tendai Mtawarira was forced to withdraw from South Africa's clash with Ireland on Saturday after suffering a recurrence of mild heart palpitations on the morning of the game. The Springbok prop was admitted to hospital for observation on Saturday morning as a precaution and withdrawn from South Africa's opening match of their end-of-season tour. The South Africa Rugby Union said a decision on his continued participation on the tour will be taken at a later stage. In Mtawarira's absence, CJ van der Linde, who has 73 caps for South Africa, will start at loose-head prop against Ireland in Dublin. Heinke van der Merwe, with one cap to his name, takes Van der Linde's place on the bench. © ESPN Sports Media Ltd.
