Wales will be braced for a tough Rugby World Cup draw on Monday after they were confirmed as third tier seeds for the 2015 tournament.

Warren Gatland's team have dropped to ninth in the IRB world rankings after defeat to Australia at the Millennium Stadium ended a miserable autumn whitewash, which also included defeats to Samoa, Argentina and New Zealand.

Wales went into the game ranked seventh but have dropped below Argentina and Samoa in the standings, putting them on course for a tough draw when the Rugby World Cup 2015 draw is made in London at 3pm on Monday.

England, meanwhile, will remain in the band of second seeds despite their magnificent win over the All Blacks at Twickenham. New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and France were already assured of their places in the top four prior to England's 38-21 triumph.
