The All Blacks will play Scotland in the second leg of their 2014 tour to Europe, the Scottish Rugby Union has announced.

The Test is scheduled for Murrayfield in Edinburgh on November 15 or 16, falling between home fixtures for the Scots against Argentina a week earlier and Tonga a week later.

Scotland will be coached by New Zealander Vern Cotter, who will replace Australian Scott Johnson as head coach in June leading into four Tests on the road that month - against the United States, Canada, Argentina and South Africa.

It will be the All Blacks' seventh successive Test against the Scots in Edinburgh since they last hosted them, in 2000.

New Zealand have won 27 of 29 Tests against Scotland, recording draws in 1964 and 1983.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks' year-end schedule is still to be finalised.

They are negotiating a match in the United States on the way to Europe, where a Test against England at Twickenham is likely to precede the Scotland Test. A week later they are mooted to face Wales at Cardiff.
