Swiel makes Quins loan move

Harlequins have announced the loan signing of fly-half Tim Swiel from the Durban-based Sharks in South Africa.

Somerset-born Swiel, 21, will remain with Quins until February as injury cover for Ben Botica.

Botica suffered a shoulder injury earlier this month and has undergone surgery. He is expected to be sidelined until the new year.

"While we are very disappointed to lose Ben Botica to injury, I am delighted to be able to bring in someone of Tim's ability from the Sharks at such short notice," Quins rugby director Conor O'Shea said.

"Tim is a player with real X-factor who we are sure will fit within how we play,"
