Norm Hewitt to lead Maori against Scotland

Wellington Hurricanes' skipper has been appointed to lead the New Zealand Maori when they play the Scottish tourists in New Plymouth on June 17.

Coach Matt Te Pou announced the squad after two days of trials in the Bay of Plenty town of Whakatane.Hewitt will lead a seasoned and experieced squad which contains a total of seven All Blacks. The Maori will be defending a five year unbeaten record, their last meeting with Scotland at Murrayfield in 1998 resulting in a 24-8 victory for the New Zealanders.
