Murray injury not as bad as feared
September 20, 2000

Edinburgh Reivers are breating a sigh of relief with the news news that Cammy Murray's knee injury is not as bad as first feared.

Murray was hurt during last Friday's defeat to Glasgow Caledonians and the Scotland winger and coach Frank Hadden feared the worst.

But a scan has revealed no major damage and Murray will continue to receive intensive treatment.

But he will miss this Saturday's trip to Swansea where Reivers will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointment.

Hadden is already without Kenny Milligan, who has a scratch on his eye, and Duncan Hodge, who is recovering from a knee operation. But the Edinburgh coach is hoping to have David Officer, Don Mackinnon and Craig Joiner back in his squad for the Welsh/Scottish clash.

Officer is recovering well from a back spasm and will undergo a fitness test on Wednesday, while Mackinnon and Joiner have returned to training.
