Jones-Hughes doubtful for euro kick-off

Newport centre Jason Jones-Hughes may miss the start of this season's Heineken due to persisting injury worries.

After recovering from damaged ankle ligaments the Australian born player has now been struck down by a pulled hamstring which has ruled him out of this Saturday's clash with Pontypridd.

It is also feared he may miss the start of the Heineken Cup on October 7 when Newport begin their campaign against Munster.
