Scotland manager Ian McGeechan on Wednesaday named Chris Paterson, Andy Nicol and Richard Metcalfe in the Scotland squad for their upcoming autumn Tests - despite all suffering recent injury problems.

McGeechan has also selected stand-off Duncan Hodge, who had surgery to repair knee ligament damage earlier in the month.

Training begins on Monday for the games against USA, Australia and Samoa at Murrayfield in November.
