Fleck working on discipline
November 29, 2000

Hotheaded Springbok centre Robbie Fleck - no stranger to controversy or yellow cards - is working hard on his discipline.

Fleck erred on the side of over-enthusiasm again against Wales on Sunday and the fact that the Boks could have lost the Test, has made him do some serious introspection. Fleck, who was yellow-carded with 10 minutes left in the game, was lucky that the Boks, in fact, played better with 14 men than they did with 15.

"I have to appear before a disciplinary committee this week. My teammates are very serious about maintaining discipline on the field," Fleck said.

"It's something I have to look at, but I have to mention that I was unlucky on Sunday because the infringement for which I got sent off wasn't that serious. I was merely unfortunate that it was the third incident in which I was involved in the match."
