The former All Black fly half, a ' technical adviser ' in 2000, is reported in today's New Zealand Herald not to be seeking the position in 2001.

The Blues , to be coached again by Gordon Hunter and Frank Oliver, have advertised for a specialist to work with the backs and are believed to want to make the appointment by mid - January, just as Super 12 preparations start to get serious.

Allan Pollock, assistant coach at North Harbour, where Wayne Shelford is in charge, and Bryce Woodward, the successful Northland coach, are known to be interested in Fox's former position. The Blues squad will be named on Monday, along with the other four New Zealand squads.
